Inspired by a series of current events, 911 examines a situation where an emergency dispatcher, Gladys, answers a call which escalates beyond her control. I wrote this film in response to the frustration around police brutality and the responses to the fateful incidents. At the time, it was my first film, and first time directing so I collaborated with a friend to help me bring this story to life. This film has been received by 10 different festivals, and continues to garner support. Since then, I have written, produced, and directed around women/minorities including a dramatic short film titled "What Marilyn Didn't Know" (4 festival selections to date); a comedic short film titled "Happily Married After" (in post-production); and I am currently in pre-production on my first feature film "E.I." (working title) that I am writing and working towards producing by 2022.
